This is not the journey you signed up for.

Whether through miscarriage, stillbirth, or a baby with a serious medical condition; your life has been altered. You may feel overwhelmed, lost or helpless.

Let me help.

I am not a medical provider, I am a spiritual, emotional, and physical support for you to lean on. Through education, support, resources, and advocacy, you can find a path to acceptance and hope. Wentworth-Douglass Hospital contracts with me to support their perinatal loss patients and provide outreach.  If they count on me, so can you.

Support Options:

In Hospital Bedside Support

NH seacoast only: Local in-person support at Portsmouth Regional, Exeter, or Wentworth Mass Gen. If you are a Wentworth Partners patient, in-hospital support may be available to you at no charge.

During a traumatic experience, we can all benefit from comfort, advocacy, guidance, and information. My skills as a birth doula are the foundation of what I do, but my experience providing loss support in a hospital setting has taught me so much more.

In addition to advocacy, and support in delivering and meeting your baby, you may want help to be present in the process, fully experience this time, and even find joy in those moments. Your experience can be more personal and less medical with a bridge between provider and patient. Whether you would like help planning for the arrival of your baby, support during the process of your delivery or surgical procedure, help meeting your baby and making the most of the time you have, or gentle listening and support at any point in your journey. I am here for you.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Wentworth Foundation, if you are a Wentworth Partners patient, in hospital support may be available to you at no charge.

In-Home Postpartum Support Visit

NH seacoast only: Local in-person support

Loss at any gestation is birth. You are still a mother whose body and soul are in transition. You are worthy of the same care and support as any postpartum mother. In-home postpartum loss support is 90 minutes to talk, learn, or get help understanding your experience.

This is “in the trenches” postpartum support. There is no need to act as if ” okay”, and no need to shower, dress, or entertain me as a guest. I am there to meet you wherever you currently are in your healing process. Just like any postpartum mom, you will need support and guidance adjusting to the changes in your life. You will need rest, nourishment, and most importantly, understanding and compassionate care. I have held moms on their couches while they tell their stories of loss, I have sat beside sobbing moms while they shower, I have made tea, brought grocery orders or take-out, and cleaned up piles of used tissues beside beds. I have accompanied moms on their first trips out of the house after loss, some just for a neighborhood walk, a first trip to the grocery store, or that scary follow-up OBGYN appointment. I am the caregiver who will support you however you need to cope with your loss.

Reach out to me so we can discuss your needs or wants around in-home support.

90 minutes of in-home support for $125 (a travel fee may be additional for those living outside of my local response area surrounding Dover, Portsmouth and Exeter NH.)

Let me know what you need and we can make a customized plan.

  • Recently got a devastating diagnosis and want to talk through the options before proceeding.
  • Need resources and ideas for coping due to a perinatal loss.
  • Don’t feel comfortable in a support group setting, yet still want an opportunity to talk and learn.
  • Have been carrying the weight of grief after a previous loss and never had the chance to process it.
  • Want to talk to someone who understands your experience and will listen to your story without judgment or discomfort.

You deserve to be heard
