Tangle drawing involves creating detaileld patterns using simple strokes, which encourages mindfulness. This meditative process does not require any special artistic ability, and it allows your mind to quiet down and reduces anxiety in a simple to learn practice that can be done anywhere with basic suppllies and only a few moments of time.
I will introduce you to the basic concept of meditative drawing and show you some of the universal strokes that can be combined in limitless ways to reflect your personal style. By adding an image that brings your mind to the topic of your loss, we can encourage mindful relaxation around the feelings and realities of your pain.
(a #2 pencil, and a q-tip swab are not necessary, but can be used for shading.)
I will provide files for images you can use as a starting point, as well as links to “suggested” materials, but the joy of this practice is that it can be done anywhere, any time, with any paper and writing instument.
